People have asked me:  "Pastor Mike, why do you keep sending out The Open Word e-Devotionals  everyday when it clearly costs you money to do it?"  

My answer:  "I love Jesus, and I want to do what I can to help other people to be spiritually encouraged on a daily basis.  I feel called by God to do it!"  

Does this service cost money to produce?
Yes!  The broadcast e-mail service, web hosting, and research tools that I use to send out the daily e-devotionals to all of our subscribers do cost a substantial sum of money. (Substantial is a relative term.  It's substantial for my personal budget. :) For some of these resources, the costs are going up again very soon, but I'm trusting that God will provide the means for me to keep on being faithful with the daily e-Devotionals.

Please don't send anything if you are unable to do so!
This service will remain free for anyone who wishes to receive it. I want it to stay that way. You should not feel obligated in any way to donate.  

Only send something if the Lord lays that on your heart to do so.  
Every little bit helps, and I work on a shoe-string budget to make this daily e-Devotional happen. God has never let me down, and I have trust that He will continue to keep this ministry in His care.
